Understand how Facebook billing works

Modified on Wed, 17 Apr, 2024 at 2:07 PM

When you first start Facebook Ads, Facebook will charge you small amounts. This is to establish your credit as a marketer. Remember, Facebook will show ads on your behalf, and bill you for it later on. So they want to make sure that you are good for your money.

For that reason they will charge you smaller transactions starting out.
Those transactions will get bigger and bigger. Their objective is to save money on the transactions.

Setting your billing to $35 per day does not mean facebook will literally spend $35 per day. It means they will deploy the equivalent of $35 per day over the course of a week.

For example: If there is not a good audience on Monday, Facebook may deploy $10 on your behalf. But on Tuesday they may deploy $70.
